NYK Issues NYK Group ESG Story 2023 | NYK Line
NYK released NYK Group ESG Story 2023 on November 6.
This story complements the medium-term management plan “Sail Green, Drive Transformations 2026 – A Passion for Planetary Wellbeing –” announced in March 2023. It sets forth growth strategies and non-financial targets based on the NYK Group’s material issues of Safety, Environment, and Human Resources, as well as our foundation of Governance.
ESG Strategy Headquarters, newly established in April, took the lead in preparing this report through discussions at monthly ESG Strategy Committee meetings and dialogues with Group companies. This story consists of the following three parts:
Growing beyond the framework of a comprehensive logistics company, the NYK Group will promote ESG management based on the Group’s accumulated knowledge, strong determination to lead the global marine transportation industry, and corporate culture of continually taking on challenges without fear of societal change, which has been passed down since the company’s foundation.
The NYK Group will create new value for society with the understanding and empathy of our stakeholders to remain a corporate group that society needs.
