NYK Recognized as CDP Supplier Engagement Leader for Third Consecutive Year | NYK Line

NYK has been selected as a “2022 CDP Supplier Engagement Leader” for the third consecutive year, the highest level of recognition by CDP,* an international environmental non-profit organization, for NYK’s strong management over its overall climate-change impact.

CDP’s supplier engagement rating (SER) is based on the four categories; governance, targets, Scope 3 emissions accounting, and value chain engagement in last year’s CDP climate change questionnaire. It recognizes companies that have excelled in addressing climate change throughout their supply chains**.

In 2022, the top 8% of all evaluated companies were selected as Supplier Engagement Leaders.

CDP has also recognized NYK as an “A-List” company for climate change for the third consecutive year.

With the cooperation of our customers and stakeholders, NYK is actively engaged in various fuel-saving and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction activities, promoting LNG as a marine fuel, and research and demonstration projects for the practical use of zero-emission fuels, such as hydrogen and ammonia. Being selected as a Supplier Engagement Leader recognizes our efforts throughout the supply chain.
NYK Group will further accelerate its efforts with stakeholders and lead the way in decarbonizing the entire global supply chain to contribute to society and continue to grow sustainably,

On March 10, 2023, the NYK Group released its medium-term management plan, “Sail Green, Drive Transformations 2026 — A Passion for Planetary Wellbeing.” The NYK Group is promoting growth strategies with ESG at the core, based on the Group’s basic philosophy of “Bringing value to life” and a new corporate vision for 2030, which reads, “we go beyond the scope of a comprehensive global logistics enterprise to co-create value required for the future by advancing our core business and growing new ones.”
